Carian Inscription of Labraunda

C.La 1

The Attic black-gloss bowl incised (after firing) with a Carian graffito on the underside of its base was found in 2007 at Burgaz Kale, a large fortress located approximately 3 km southwest of the Sanctuary of Labraunda. The text is interpreted as a personal name. The bowl has been dated to the second quarter of the 4th century BCE.
