E.Mu 1
The two-line Carian graffito was found in 164 during an epigraphic survey by the Charles University of Prague. The inscription was located on a perpendicular rock surface facing east on the west bank of the Nile about 2 km north of the Temple of Dendur. Since then, the site submerged under the waters of Aswan Dam. The longer upper line of the inscription was measured 143 cm in length. The first words of it are likely personal names (PN (son) of PN), while the rest remains obscure.
