The inscription is carved above a rock-cut tomb in Krya (modern Taşyaka) by the so-called Bedri Rahmi Bay in the Gulf of Telmessos. The inscription has been known since the 19th century to early travelers in the region. The four-line inscription is a funerary onomastic formula. Its alphabet is notably similar to the Kaunian variety and probably dates to 4th or 3rd century BCE.
